I've added rod holders, rod storage, seats, bilge pump, and a FF and have only had the boat in the water a couple times.If that's still the case then aluminum butts are the way to go, period. For $20-40 less a rod you can go with slick butts. You will gain some stability with the aluminum butts and certainly longevity.
